EXTERNAL CONDENSATION

We often receive calls at this time of year from customers who are suprised and concerned to see external condensation on their double glazed windows. Happily, we can reassure you that this condensation is absolutely normal and nothing to worry about. In fact, it is proof that the energy efficiency of the windows is doing its job of keeping the cold out and the warm in. During Autumn and Spring, the dew point can be high but the temperature of the external glass can fall quite low overnight, and this causes the condensation you may see first thing in the morning. The condensation naturally evaporates onces the air outside warms up a bit.
